Traffic Section - Specialized Traffic Enforcement Unit
Photo Radar Locations
Photo Enforcement Locations - February 01 through February 29, 2008
In response to Community needs identified through statistical analysis and citizen concerns, Photo Radar will deploy in the following communities: Sunnyside, Capital Hill, and 1600 blk Deerfoot Trail NE
Photo Radar will also be targeting high speed, high volume roadways and constructions zones within the City of Calgary. Concentrated enforcement will continue on Deerfoot Trail, Glenmore Trail, and Memorial Dr. Photo Radar will continue to be actively deployed in School and Playground Zones within the City of Calgary.
The Red Light Camera Program will continue to focus on red light runners in the downtown core; drive safe and stop for red lights.

Intersection Safety Cameras
Intersection Safety Camera Locations
The Intersection Safety Camera program consists of 44 intersections monitored by 36 cameras throughout the City of Calgary; in a continuing effort to promote safety and awareness in motorists at intersections, the Intersection Safety Cameras will be rotated into intersections that have experienced increases in collisions and violation rates; the fine for failing to stop for a red light is $287.
Police ask drivers to slow down on our roadways and be safe.

About Intersection Safety Cameras
In a continuing effort to address the needs of the community and promote safe driving practices, the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is pleased to announce that the Intersection Safety Camera program has grown, incorporating 44 camera-ready intersections. These camera-ready intersections will facilitate the use of 36 Intersection Safety Cameras on a rotating basis.
