Correspondence Unit
The Correspondence Unit's primary responsibility is to release timely information about collisions and criminal reports to lawyers and insurance companies. Six civilian employees make up this unit. In addition to lawyers and insurance companies, the unit also deals with inquiries from the general public.

Can I obtain a copy of a police report?
No. Police reports are confidential.
Can I obtain a copy of a collision report, witness statement or other documents pertaining to civil court suits?
Yes. This information can be provided following proof of identity and a $30 fee. You can phone (403) 206-5945, Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
How long does it take to get a collision report?
On average, it takes between seven and 10 days to process a collision report.
