Soldier Care Package Campaign
About the Campaign
Note: The Calgary Police Service "Soldier Care Package" campaign has now ended.
From September 1-30 2007 all Calgary Police Service District offices and community stations, the Interpretive Centre and Traffic offices collected care package items from the public and CPS members.
Items were collected throughout September and delivered to the Calgary Military Family Resource Centre (CMFRC). The Centre packaged the items in individual boxes to send them to soldiers serving on missions around the world.
This program complimented the "Support Our Troops" campaign where CPS members could donate accumulated time to a specially-designated account and in return they received a magnetic decal for personal use.
The CPS and the CMFRC have a long history of mutual support. We believe members of the Canadian Forces share our core values - honesty, integrity, respect, ethics,
compassion and fairness, courage, and commitment.
There are many members of CPS who have made the transition from the military to
policing with much success.
The Service is a strong supporter of the military and this campaign is a testament to
our unwavering support of Canada's Armed Forces and their families.
For further information on this campaign please contact the Calgary Military Family Resource Centre (CMFRC).
