District 8 Quick Links

District 8 was established in September 2002. It encompasses all Calgary communities south of Anderson Road. It includes new residential areas such as Chaparral, Cranston and New Brighton along with established communities such as Midnapore, Lake Bonivista and Parkland. Fish Creek Provincial Park is in the center of the district.

District 8 is divided into three zones, and each is assigned a community liaison officer (CLO). These officers are responsible for several communities, and maintain contact with community organizations, schools and businesses in the area. CLOs also promote crime prevention programs in the community.

District 8 personnel are deployed out of the new Mid-Sun Services Centre. This location is the city's first multi-services building and is shared by police, fire, EMS and City of Calgary Animal and Bylaw Services.

All of the officers of District 8 are proud to be members of the community and to serve the people who live, play and work here.

District 8 personnel are committed to the Calgary Police Service's four core services:
  • community problem solving,
  • responding to calls for service,
  • traffic safety, and
  • criminal investigation.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns regarding policing issues in District 8. We can be reached at (403) 296-2580, or drop around and see us at the Mid-Sun Services Centre.
