District 3 is located in north central Calgary. It consists of 30 commercial and residential communities with a population of 97,406. The district spans from Memorial Drive in the south to 64th Avenue in the north and includes all of Nose Hill Park. In the west it runs along Shaganappi Trail. The east boundary is
Deerfoot Trail.
District 3 Quick Links
District 3 includes long-established communities, light industrial areas, tourist communities in Motel Village, and shopping districts such as Kensington. The district is also home to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), the Jubilee Auditorium, McMahon Stadium, the University of Calgary, Foothills Hospital and the new Alberta Children's Hospital.
District 3 has four community liaison officers (CLOs). Each officer is responsible for several communities, and maintains contact with community organizations, schools and businesses in the area. CLOs also promote crime prevention programs in the community.
