As the result of increased police presence and participation by homebuilders, developers and community residents, two men have been arrested and charged in relation to this type of crime. On Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to reports of two men entering unoccupied homes and/or construction trailers in the 0-100 block of Skyview Springs Rise N.E. The two men were observed forcing their way into homes and trailers, and were in possession of break and enter tools. The two men were subsequently arrested, and evidence linked the accused to a separate incident in the same location occurring one month earlier. Tylor Cameron MACDONALD, 21, of Calgary, is charged with break and enter to commit (shop or commercial), possession of break-in instruments, two counts of trespassing at night, and mischief to property under $5,000. Ryan Paul BANTUGAN, 25, of Calgary, is charged with break and enter to commit (shop or commercial), possession of break-in instruments two counts of trespassing at night, and mischief to property under $5,000.
