The office of the Chief Medical Examiner has released the
name of the man killed in a traffic collision on the 30
October 2009 in the 4700 block of 16 Ave NW.

Kenneth Robert TIDSBURY, 55 years died of multiple blunt
injuries suffered in the collision.

On October 30th, 2009 at approximately 2201 hours, a
collision between a motor vehicle and pedestrian occurred in

the 4700 Block 16 Avenue Northwest.  The pedestrian was
crossing mid-block, from north to south and was not in a
crosswalk at the time of the collision.

A driver of the motor vehicle was traveling eastbound in the

same block, in the left travel lane. The male was struck by
the front left corner of the motor vehicle, knocking him to
the ground.   

The male was in life threatening condition, transported to
the Foothills Hospital by EMS and later succumbed to his
injuries.

The speed of the motor vehicle and alcohol consumption by the
operator, are not believed to be factors in this collision.

The identification of the male pedestrian is being withheld
pending notification of his next of kin.
