In response to community needs identified through statistical
analysis, collisions, and citizen concerns, mobile photo
radar will be set up on Deerfoot Trail (north and south) as
well as the communities of Bridgeland, West Hillhurst and
Lincoln Park throughout the month of November.

Photo radar will also focus on high-speed, high-volume
roadways and construction zones within Calgary. 

Photo radar will continue to be actively deployed in school
and playground zones. 

Intersection Safety Cameras will be deployed at 47
intersections throughout the city to target those who proceed
through a red light. These cameras continue to reduce
collisions and foster a safer driving environment at our
intersections.

The Speed on Green initiative uses a small number of these
Intersection Safety Cameras to capture vehicles that speed
through green and yellow lights. 

These drivers not only put themselves in danger, but they
also endanger the lives of others. 

Please drive with extra care when there is snow and ice on
the roads. Reduce speeds and allow extra distance for safe
breaking.
