At about 3:00 AM on Sunday the 1 November 2009 Public Safety
Centre received a call that a man was injured and required
assistance.  EMS located the man in a car stopped on the
northbound lanes of Deerfoot Tr. between McKnight Blvd and 64
Ave NE.

Initial investigations reveal that the adult male had been
shot and he was treated and transported by EMS to hospital in
non-life threatening condition.

It is believed that this incident occurred as the victim was
leaving a restaurant in the 4700 block of 13 Street NE
shortly before emergency services were called.

Police are looking for a culprit described as a black male,
24 years old, 6’1” tall, 180 lbs wearing a black baseball cap
with “NY” on it, black long sleeved shirt, black puffy vest
with a red bandana with white patterns covering his face.

Police are requesting the public assistance and would like to
talk to anyone who was in or around the area if this
restaurant around 3:00 AM.
