On 2009/05/27 at approximately 0305 hrs, a silver Honda coupe
was south bound on Deerfoot Trail exiting to Marquis of Lorne
Trail SE. While on the off ramp, the vehicle left the roadway
and struck a lamp post. The sixty year old driver and sole
occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The collision is still under investigation.

The deceased’s identity is being withheld pending
notification of next of kin and will be release via the
M.E.’s office at a later date.

If any person witnessed this collision, they are asked to
contact the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section at 567
-4000.
