The route is as follows: • 9 Avenue S.W. at Centre Street (the starting line in front of the Calgary Tower) • Westbound 9 Avenue S.W. to 5 Street S.W. • Southbound on 5 Street S.W. to Elbow Drive S.W. • Southbound on Elbow Drive S.W. to Lansdowne Avenue S.W. • The race will circumvent Stanley Park to Mission Road S.W. • Northbound on 4 Street S.W. to 10 Avenue S.W. • Eastbound on 10 Avenue S.W. to Macleod Trail • Northbound Macleod Trail to Olympic Plaza (the finish line) The road closures are expected to last until 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 11. Motorists are to observe all traffic controls advising of these road closures and on-site police/marshal enforcement. Delays are expected. Please be advised that there will be additional road closures and lane restrictions in the area for a massive concrete pour for “The Bow” Development beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 9 until 5 a.m. on Monday, May 12. The City of Calgary, Roads, and The Calgary Police Service, have been working with event organizers and the prime contractor for “The Bow” to ensure the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists in the area and to minimize traffic impacts.
