Subject: Truck Crashes Into House on Oakmount Drive SW

At approximately 1:30am, on 2008 May 6, a 1999 Ford pick up
truck was southbound on Oakmount Drive SW, when the vehicle
struck a parked van before leaving the road and smashing into
the front of a home in the 9400 block, where it came to rest.

Police, Fire, and EMS attended the scene and had to remove
the driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, from the truck
as it was completely wedged into the front door and attached
garage area of the house.

EMS transported the male in his 30s to the hospital, where he
was listed in stable, non-life threatening condition.

There were two adult occupants in the home at the time of
collision and neither was injured.  The home sustained
significant damage, however.

The cause of the crash is unknown, and police are continuing
their investigation.  Alcohol is not believed to be a
contributing factor at this time.
