On 2008 May 3, the Annual World Wide Marihuana March was held
in downtown Calgary.  

Police estimate approximately 400 - 500 people participated
in the rally, and report that no major incidents occurred as
a result.  The crowd was generally peaceful and well behaved.

Three participants were arrested during the event for
possession of marihuana.  All three were charged with
possession of a substance under the Controlled Drugs and
Substances Act.
