To improve schedule adherence for Calgary Transit buses, a
new “Calgary Transit bus-only lane” has been implemented on
the shoulder northbound on Crowchild Trail beginning Friday,
May 2.

The new bus-only lane begins at Crowchild Trail (northbound)
and 17th Avenue S.W., continuing down to the Bow Trail off
ramp and is signed indicating the start and finish of the
lane.  

During periods of traffic congestion, Calgary Transit buses
will be able to proceed into this shoulder lane to bypass
traffic congestion to keep on schedule.
