The Calgary Police Service has laid charges in connection
with an altercation last night.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2006,
police were called to a disturbance at a parking lot in the
700 block of 10 Avenue S.W.

During a confrontation between two groups, one male was hit
with a short wooden club and another male was stabbed with a
knife.

Two suspects fled the scene with the rest of their group. EMS
was called, and transported the victim of the stabbing to
hospital. He is not believed to be in life-threatening
condition.

At approximately 9:50 p.m., Calgary police were informed by
Calgary Transit Protective Services that a group of people
who may have been involved in the incident were at the
Heritage C-Train Station. Police responded and took several
individuals into custody.

Kyle Robert McKee, 21, of Calgary, has been charged with
assault with a weapon (wooden club) and possession of a
weapon or imitation for a dangerous purpose.

Dallas Kenneth Price, 18, of Calgary, has been charged with
aggravated assault and possession of a weapon or imitation
for a dangerous purpose.

Police believe the individuals involved in this altercation
were known to one another. This incident is not believed to
be gang-related.
