             CITYBEAT - CITY OF CALGARY PRESS RELEASE
-----------------------------------------------------------------

At approximately 2:30AM the city of Calgary EMS Department,
in conjunction with the Calgary Police Service and Fire
Department, responded to a Motor Vehicle Collision on 16 Ave
NE just east of the 36 Street overpass.  One male individual
was fatally injured at this location.  No other patients were
transported from this scene.  The Calgary Police Service is
continuing to investigate this accident.
