CALGARY POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE

As a result of an ongoing investigation into drug and
prostitution activities in the downtown core, Calgary Police
Service Vice Unit detectives today arrested a prominent child
psychiatrist.

This afternoon, Dr. Philp Alan BARKER, 70 years, was arrested
at his residence without incident.

BARKER is charged with one count of Procuring An Underage
Prostitute. He is scheduled to appear in provincial court on
March 30, 2000, at 9 a.m. in courtroom #102.
